Scissor Gates / Accordion Gates and Their Uses

Also known as expanding barricades

Scissor gates are designed for temporary access control to work, maintenance or cleaning areas and are ideal for use in factory, warehouse or retail environments. The scissor/accordion design allows these gates to be extended to seal off access and then retract into a compact unit when not needed. Fitted with lockable wheels the scissor gates can be wheeled away when not needed and collapse down small enough to be stored in a closet. Optional wall brackets are available to attach the end of the gate to a wall.

FlexPro

Designed for heavy duty use FlexPros are made from either all steel or a steel frame and aluminum cross members. The 110 model expands to 11’, collapses to 13” and weighs in at just 19lbs. This highly portable gate can be joined to other units to make a barrier of any length, brackets are available to connect it to a wall. The 160 model has all the features of the 110 but expands to 16’ and is designed for creating long run barriers.

FlexMaster

FlexMaster is our line of light duty accordion gates. They function in the same way as the FlexPro but are made of plastic and are lighter than the FlexPro so transporting them is easier. The FlexMaster 75 has a water fillable base, locks in position at the desired length and collapses down into its own frame so it can be carried like a tool box. Featuring two battery operated warning lights and 52 reflective panels the FlexMaster 75 is ideal for night use.

FlexMaster 110 expands up to 11’ is light weight, non-rusting and easy to handle and store. Units can be linked together using the unit’s simple hook and loop connection system to create a run of any size.

Advantages of Scissor / Accordion Gates

Scissor gates offer a unique blend of high strength, solid barrier and flexibility. Easy to expand and retract they are ideal for locations where the barrier is only needed at certain times but when deployed will not allow pedestrians to duck or climb over it. The heavier FlexPro models suit use within a single site but the wheeled base allows easy movement to different locations. The lighter FlexMaster are suitable for transporting to customer sites.
