Retractable Belt Barriers β A Great Branding Opportunity
Retractable belt barriers (also called stanchions) are one of those products that you never notice until someone makes you aware of them and then you realize they are everywhere! In fact, whenever you stand in line you are probably standing between retractable belt barriers.
A typical barrier has over 1.5sq ft on belt area, so even a small 10 stanchion queue has 15sqft of belt area. This is prime advertising real estate as it is positioned in the most trafficked location in any venue, the customer queue.
By customizing the barrier with your logo or promotional message you can turn the barriers from a purely functional piece of equipment into an advertising billboard.
Customizing the Retractable Belt Barrier
Every element of the barrier can be customized. The belt, post top and the stanchion itself can all be custom printed. The largest area and therefor the most valuable for promotion is the belt, so lets look at the belt option first.
Dye Sublimation Printing
Dye sublimation is a digital printing process in which the ink is dyed into the fibers of the belt, so it will never wear off. Being a digital process, anything can be printed including photographs and scannable QR codes.
With dye sub printing we can perfectly replicate logos in an unlimited number of colors or dye the belt to match a specific corporate color.
Xtra Wide Belts
For custom printed belts we recommend opting for our Xtra 3β wide belt option. The standard belt is 2β wide so the Xtra belt allows logos and messages to be printed 50% larger which greatly increases their visibility
Post Wraps
Digital printing the stanchion itself is bold, eye catching and unique. Matching the post with the belt printing has increases the impact of any logo or message.
The process for customizing the barrier post is to digitally print a tough, UV resistant self-adhesive vinyl that is wrapped around the post. Suitable for use indoors or outside post wraps make the queue truly striking.
Post Top Labels
Although a small area the label on the top of the barrier is highly visible. This is an ideal location for brand names and QR codes.
Remember that people standing in line are idle and are often looking for something to occupy the waiting time greatly increaing the likelihood that a post top QR code will be scanned
Post Top Signage
Sign frames can be fitted to the barrier using our simple post top adapter. These slide onto the top of the barrier and fit firmly. Although signs up to 22βx 28β poster size can be used we recommend a maximum of 14βx 22β for use in the queue.
Larger signs protrude into the queue space and can cause an obstruction. These frames can house any type of sign from ΒΌ β acrylic to paper signs held between two 1/8β acrylic sheets. Signs a are easy to change so this is the best format for promotional messages that are subject to change
Conclusion
High levels of pedestrian traffic, close proximity and a long dwell time in front of the messaging are all benefits of the customer queue for advertising and promotion. Advertising is expensive and not using your retractable belt barriers for promotion is a lost opportunity
